Non 1444 start dates in EU4 can get a little... weird. Regardless, today, in celebration of the 4th July, we play as the United States in EU4, or the EU4 United States, EU4 USA or even the USA EU4 depending on how you search for it. We need to free ourselves from the British and get a rare achievement as we dominate the new world in EU4! No need for an EU4 guide or eu4 usa GUIDE!

This start is BROKEN in EU4!

I find it really cool that you ended the war 2 days before it ended irl. You finished September 1st, 1783, the war ended the 3rd irl.

Washington should have top tier maneuver, as he regularly was able to withdraw the continental army from its frequent defeats.

So, the American Revolutionary War is really interesting from the perspective of British strategy. As you mentioned, they didn't commit as many troops as they reasonably could, but they did commit a LOT of money. Like A LOT of money. Mainly because they were worried (and were almost correct) that a full committal of their forces to America would result in the French fully entering the war on the Americans' side, leaving the home islands very exposed to the French.

« London » is renamed to « Domaine Français » (French Domain) when France takes a mission, Laith :) this mission also makes the Tower of London give more max absolutism effect

“Shout out to Benedict Arnold” - Laith, 4th of July, 2023

‘Benedict Arnold’ a name synonymous with ‘traitor’…

You should do a video playing as Jerusalem during the 3rd crusade. I tried and I couldn’t do it, and it would be interesting to see it be done

George Washington according to some other history channels I've watched was great at leading people and big picture strategies, but pretty bad at fair up-front engagements, Benedict Arnold was also known for being a great on-the-field general. That is probably why they have such stats.

The reason Star Spangled Banner and O' Canada start with O' is since they were both originally poems. A technique for writing poems in the 1800s, when the poems were written, was to begin with the word "O' " to display a pure, unadulterated emotion. In the case of Star Spangled Banner and O' Canada, the emotion is one of amazement and pride in the land that's being written about.

I feel both attacked, and begrudgingly agreeing with nearly every sentence... This is the content I signed up for.

Ah yes the famous quote by George Washington: "Cowabunga."

1:05 Laith really picked the man, the myth, the traitor Benedict Arnold as his general

37:50 Florry did a campaign as Ulm for a world conquest, but the catch is he had to stay as an OPM until 1600. It was to prove that you can WC as anyone as long as you're decently set up in 1600.

BTW, the poem that became the American anthem was originally a poem celebrating a victory over the Barbary pirates. It dunks on Laith's heritage TWICE.

12:27 "Media Offline" flashes for one frame. One question: why..? (if anyone reading this wants to see the actual frame in detail, you can use, to go back one frame and . to go forward, which is how I found and read the frame after I noticed something flash on screen)

>British man plays America during the revolutionary war.
>Immediately fires Washington

Damn, Washington can't stay in any British-run army even in a video game, can he?

Can you do an Iceland with Norse religion into USA guide? that could be so much fun

george washington's got low stats cause he really wasn't an especially good military commander. What he WAS great at was recognizing people that are more skilled than him and at motivating the soldiers, which is why he became the leader of the revolution and the country. In terms of actual combat skill he wasn't anything special
