2025 Acura MDX Review

The 2025 Acura MDX is a three-row midsize SUV that blends space and practicality with a performance edge, setting it apart from its entry-level competitors. The 2025 model introduces minor updates, including new wheels, a reshaped bumper, and a new mesh grille, but these tweaks don't significantly alter its sharp, angular design. The MDX remains a handsome and sporty option, though its design might seem a bit generic from afar. It offers two engine choices: a 3.5L V6 with 290 horsepower for the base models, and all-wheel drive is standard on higher trims, with the top-tier Type S offering enhanced performance.

As an owner myself vs what journalists say i think this is a fantastic car. The touchpad was never a deal breaker for most. That's why its the number one selling luxury three row SUV on the market. Yes it wasn't perfect, they just needed to make the screen touch sensitive as well. Now with this update I feel that acura threw the baby out with the bath water. The resting pad for the touch pad was a very nice touch especially when the center arm rest does not extend. You can tell that they didn't know what to do with the space after removing the touch pad. I think journalists not living with the car complained more about the touchpad than actual customers did. Second, when collapsing the third row cargo floor, you can accommodate four to five carry-on luggage upright which no other competitors can do, but reviewers will give you just number and tell you that other SUVs have more space. Third, this vehicle is alot wider inside than other competitors in the segment. Try fitting three across in a Q7 or a XC90 comfortably. You can't. Fourth, when fitted with the proper expensive tires this car becomes almost Bentley like in ride quality. The seats are also very plush, Super quiet inside. Yes it's not perfect, there are things that i hate such as how thin the paint is, the ground clearance, the gas consumption. Otherwise I would suggest to do your own research before buying any car or absorbing too much from reviewers who don't live day to day with the car

They just need to rethink the console area, free up for more storage space and ditch the piano black! Can't believe the mildly refreshed 2025 RDX didn't get the touchscreen.

You missed the lack of air vents in the 3rd row. Otherwise, Nice review and vehicle.

It's one of the best in its class!! It's a lot of money for an Acura, but I see the Type S on the roads

A nice crossover love the red Brembo's contrasting the Urban Grey paint. However price is getting up there. Historically Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus didn't charge extra for premium/complex 3 stage paint like most others did and like the Germans have done for decades. Of course that has changed, seemingly since Covid, nearly everything has significantly increased in price. Manufacturers/businesses have learned what they can get away with and what consumers are willing to pay. Higher MSRP's, mark-ups, credit card use fees...

$77, 000 before taxes and tags. Honda has lost its grip on reality. 😂 Mazda CX90 please 😊

Acura finally learned. The touchpad was a disaster with CarPlay and Android Auto. Those systems are designed for touch. Acura, Lexus, and Mazda have finally given up and now all three offer touchscreens! 👍👍👍

0:46 When it comes to Luxury 3-Row SUV's, having the Asian worker review the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Volvo XC90, Infinti QX60, and Genesis GV80 is genius

At 70k and with a top speed of only 110 mph, this is a tough sell. Honda is always limiting its cars in some way.

Entry level rivals? Wow in Canada this thing is expensive. Which for it’s price I’ll look at German or European models

Before you complain about the MDX let me remind you that there’s a significantly worse vehicle that costs more than this. You can spend 76-82K and get a significantly worse car than the mdx

I can't believe we live in an era where enthusiasts (mild) get excited (mildly) over a V-6 engine. I am mildly looking forward to test driving this MDX.

FYI…Acura deleted Sirius/XM Satellite Radio from this new MDX! Why? Means a no sale for me.

It's a great truck, but vastly over priced.
