My name's Pete and I'm the host of the Aussie English Podcast, a podcast dedicated to teaching people Australian English as well as general advanced English.

Over the coming months, I'll be releasing IELTs lessons like this one, where I sit down with my wife Kel who's an English learner from Brazil and we have an advanced English conversation about hobbies.

In today's IELTs Lesson 5 video, we'll use a heap of great vocabulary and expressions when talking about the weather that you can learn and then use when you have to complete exams such as IELTs, Cambridge, PTE, etc.

We teach you a heap of vocab and expressions related to the weather that you'll be able to use to prepare for your IELTs speaking test. Use this episode to help prepare your answers for your IELTs speaking exam.

How can I get the most out of this lesson?

1. Watch the episode all the way through without taking notes. Just concentrate on understanding the advanced English conversation about hobbies differences.

2. Watch it again, paying close attention to the vocabulary and expressions that appear on the screen as we speak. Learn any new English expressions or vocab, and write them down on a notepad.

3. Watch the episode again or listen to it on the Aussie English Podcast to keep practicing your listening comprehension and acquisition of this new advanced English vocabulary and expressions.

Hopefully, this video acts as IELTs preparation material and helps you sound natural when speaking English and a lot more like an English speaker and Australian and shows you how to do an Australian accent so you can speak English more like us Aussies Down Under!

Hi guys! Here in the state of São Paulo is terribly hot and stormy now, I hate the summer, I don't like sweating like Kel, I feel dizzy. The winter is the best, here the cold begins in the end of april 'til the beginning of september, I think it's similar to Australia, and it can reach minimum of 6 degrees here. Overall the heat is more present unfortunally! Haha Thanks for the helpful video!!

Hi friends! The winter goes on 3rd month in Siberia. Gazing through the window I can see just only snow. The land looks as white silence covered by shroud. There's no colours; there's no sounds but desolate room. The people looking forward the Spring when millions brooks run on the ground splattering and rejoiceing, and birds sing to greet the Sun King. That's limitless undying way of the life.

There're only two seasons in north brazilian? Dry or wet. Are there monsoons over there?
I thought no one lives there.
In sao paulo has two of these as well, the bad and the baddest.

9:07 Who the eff is that woman?! That is exactly the reason why I do prefer winter over summer!. When it gets really hot, you can't walk down the streets like a Terminator. Whereas in Winter you can put on six t-shirts if you want to. At long last.. somebody with a little criteria. In my country (Argentina) the temperature this summer reached 40°C: an unprecedented peak

Parabéns pelo seu nível de inglês e ao Pete pelo canal!
