Manors were historically used to overlook certain valuable areas of interest for the royalty. It feels weird that all the manors are being squished in such a small, easily defendable area. They should make them like hunting cabins but for all types of resources. Forcing you to place them out in the world "overlooking" resources and according to the resource type generating that resource. This would also make them vulnerable to raiding like villagers are. And the fun twist for this civ would be that you are not sniping one or two villagers as they run away from a distant deerpack, but rather you are either getting nothing, or committing a bit more and taking down the entire manor which is worth more than a villiager.

Should be 1 Manor per resource node, so they're like a lumber-camp, or mining-camp, then they're spread out rather than being concentrated in a secure location, and arrow defence should be based on the Villagers on the resource taking refuge in them, like a mini-town-centre.

Requiring minimum spacing between manors would require better base planning and would make them slightly more difficult to defend

they should just make the manor cap upgrade cheaper but tie it to age so you can only unlock lancasters full potential in imperial

Lancaster Castle is completely broken as a landmark, not only does it let you turtle and eco at the same time but it also allows you to attack too with the Demilancer summon! It really needs a fundamental rework, or at least reducing the number of manors per age to 3 to limit the civs power.

I’ve watched a lot of these Lancaster games and it seems the best strategy is to be aggressive on the stone.

its crwzy that they hot fixed it and its still broken haha I played with them yesterday lost multiple vils, barely paid attention to my eco and I was absolutely rolling in the DOUGH

As a former student of yours and now conq III, I'd love it if you casted the game I had against Kaup who was 19-0 with HOL and I won.

I'll get a lot of hate for this, but
This civ isn't impossible to beat. Make knights and archers, rams, then bring down the manors.

They are strong FORSURE, but let's see how the meta plays out and if people can figure them out first. I was 3-0 against them yesterday.

I think it is weird crackedy did not tried to deny stone. It was on the other side of hol base. And the lancaster castle was over the gold

I also think he added archers too late

3:27 on the other hand, they had problem with Japanese getting Yorishiro every few minutes that they capped and nerfed it 😒

I'm not sure if Drongo ever looks at these comments but since he knows the devs i found a kind of glitch with knights Templar today. The treb on top of the fortress very inconsistently hits individual targets, the two shots tend to split and hit on either side of smaller targets, the split is large enough to completely miss an enemy treb, I'd say 50/50 that treb shots lands at all.

I beat HOL today but it wasn't easy. I went rus to try and match the passive eco a bit and them spammed knights, archers and rams. Took 3 or 4 pushes but I was able to slow down the economy enough to stay ahead. I think feudal aggression is the key. Losing manors in feudal really hurts so to beat them you HAVE to punish the greed BEFORE it pays off

House of Lancaster shouldn't provide more HP AND arrowslits
Either one or the other

On top of that, 9 total manors is completely broken in any age, so they should just make the techs give +2 build limit instead of +3, for a total of 7 manors instead of 9
