I love the interpretation that Elphaba is already relishing their rivalry because it’s the first time someone has hated her for her and not for his skin color. Galinda sees her - and she hates what she sees at this point - but she sees her!

I love how this staging showcases the difference between the two leads. Galinda is beloved by her peers but wants to be respected for her powers. Meanwhile Elphaba is admired by your teachers but is irrationally loathed by her fellow students.

This clip is the reason why I decided to see this movie because their voices are such powerful instruments. This is how you do live singing for a movie (take notes Tom hooper). And I haven’t even started on the set dressing. The staging is so beautiful, it deserves the big screen release

This is where my enjoyment of this musical stopped being ironic and became genuine. The choreography absolutely makes it.
I had the same experience with "The Other Side" in the greatest showman.
