In the SNF where I used to work we have wound care nurse usually m-f sila then we have someone who do the lab draw except if it’s urgent and need to be done RN needs to do it, but also if we can’t do it we have on call lab draw we call them and they will come to our facilty. Tapos if pt need hydration Ikaw din magswero. Once you get used to it their med pass is really easy kahit nakapikit ka kaya mo na. We have 1:25 ratio for long term and 1:12 for short term. But kapag NOC shift ka mas madame pt mo usually 2 nurse lang unlike day/night shift.

In terms of contacting doctors we use Tiger text so no need to call doctor unless they don’t answer and if it’s emergency. For Kaiser pt we have to call the clinic during working hours and if your shift not working hours you have to call Kaiser after hours.

Documentation sa una lang naka ka overwhelmed kse Hidni ka sanay but once alam mo kung San hahanapin sa PCC maning mani talaga. Madali sa Snf it’s just you have too many pt.

Hello Ms. Gail naghihintay din ako for US and currently nasa UK ako doing bedside nursing sa orthopedic ward and yes all you say is true parang same nursing set up ang UK and US I am still adjusting here and I am happy to hear na atleast nagtetrain ako dito to prepare for SNF para di na ako ma shock pagdating jan.
