Thursday Boot Captains : Best boot for the price?

I bought another pair of men's Goodyear welted boots! At this point, I think everyone has heard of Thursday Boot Company. One of their most popular boots is the captain boot. The captains are the perfect everyday boot. The Thursday boot company has married the classic work boot with a more dressy boot. Even though these are men's boots this company has still managed to keep the silhouette very slender. This makes the captains a great opinion for women as well as men.

That said, I am " now " aware that they do offer the captain as part of their collection for women and they are re-craftable ( just like the men's ). I can't tell the difference between the men's or women's captain boots. They both fit the same. (Wife and I have the same foot size, so we can trade boots...hahaha). Great video!!!

I've got the same spec Higgins Mills, love how much squish there is in the lug sole.

With time the soles on my captain became brittle and they cracked in different places so I took them to a cobbler and he put Dainity soles on them. Hope yours dont give you any issues. They are pretty tho.

If you covered this, I may have missed it, but what size adjustment do you make when buying men's boots ? I think I read somewhere that you go down 2 sizes, so a men's 7 would be equivalent to a women's 9 ? Does your experience bear this out ?
