Search underway for missing submersible bound for Titanic wreckage

An urgent search and rescue operation is underway looking for any signs of a submersible and the five people on board that descended to survey the wreck of the Titanic. NBC News’ Tom Costello has the latest.

The wreck of the titanic is a cemetery and should be treated with respect, not exploited for the income off tourists. This should have never happened because no one except scientists should have been down there in the first place. Respect the dead. I hope the people in the submersible are all returned safe and sound, either way they should definitely stop the tours permanently.

Submarine tourism is a terrible idea and why doesn't the OceanGate company have the sub tethered in case of emergency? And if it's not tethered, why aren't they equipped to save them in an emergency? OceanGate charges $250, 000 a ticket and still makes you wait for a Coast Guard ship that's 900 miles away??
