Apple is not your friend. It’s a publicly traded corporation. Just because they sell a lot of hardware doesn’t mean they won’t take every opportunity to increase their revenue by monetizing customer data too. Samsung is much more of a hardware company than Apple but that doesn’t prove anything about their data practices. Their privacy policies and company track records do.

Do not trust Apple with your data. Do not trust any company with your data. Compartmentalize. Use free and open source software with good security standards and leadership behind it. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. Use different providers for different services but choose from those that can actually prove they respect your privacy, rather than just use flowery PR talk.

I'm trying to degoogle and deapple my life. It's hard, but I'm determined to do it. I've already stopped using as much of their services as possible. What's left is degoogling my phone and installing an open source version of Android without the pri-vacy invading tracking and telemetry. Thankfully, I've never had a Facebook account so I don't have to worry about this as well. These mega corporations have grown too powerful which is really dangerous. We need to decentralize as soon as possible.

Hi, thank you for your video. Unfortunately you seem to have misinterpreted the privacy policy. Personal data means everything that can be used to profile a user. So obviously apple collects your name, address and other information for billing purposes. That doesn't mean that they track your browser history, files on iCloud or any other thing that you claimed they do in the beginning of your video. A simple network analysis shows what data is being transmitted to apple servers on a Mac when operating and none of those things are a part of that.
The Advertising ID can be reset to your liking and can even be disabled completely, so that point doesn't really hold up either.
All of that obviously doesn't mean they couldn't collect and use more data in the future.
