NASA Orders SpaceX to Bring Boeing Starliner Crew Home
Показать описание
NASA has ordered SpaceX to bring their stranded Boeing Starliner Crew Flight Test astronauts home from the ISS. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been on the ISS since June 6, following helium leaks and thruster problems with Starliner after launch on June 5.
They will now return to Earth on NASA / SpaceX mission Crew-9, slated to launch in late September. That mission was supposed to launch with 4 astronauts, but will now only launch with 2, leaving 2 seats for Butch and Suni to return home onboard the Dragon in Feb 2025.
