NASA has ordered SpaceX to bring their stranded Boeing Starliner Crew Flight Test astronauts home from the ISS. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been on the ISS since June 6, following helium leaks and thruster problems with Starliner after launch on June 5.

They will now return to Earth on NASA / SpaceX mission Crew-9, slated to launch in late September. That mission was supposed to launch with 4 astronauts, but will now only launch with 2, leaving 2 seats for Butch and Suni to return home onboard the Dragon in Feb 2025.

The Starliner is a highly overpriced brick designed by accountants, not engineers.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson needs to retire! This FAILURE happened on his watch, and he needs to take responsibility for awarding Boeing BILLIONS of $$ on this failed JUNKLINER! What an embarrassing failure for both NASA and Boeing, and their administrators. Now Bill can go get his nap.
