President Vladimir Putin said Russia hasn’t achieved its objectives in Ukraine yet, adding in an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he would consider negotiations if the US stops supplying weapons to Kyiv. “We haven’t yet achieved our goals,” Putin said in the Feb. 6 interview in Moscow, which Carlson posted on his website Thursday. Bloomberg's Rosalind Mathieson reports.

Why has no Western journalist ever asked Boris Johnson if and why he scuttled the peace process?

Bloomberg clearly didn’t learn anything

This woman is paid to tell us that we didn't actually hear or understand what in fact we heard and perfectly understood. Is the woman actually stupid, or did she actually not listen to the interview and just repeated the talking points she was given?

What we learned is that we can't really "trust" a lot of "stuff" on social media.

Yall remember when we used to argue we were better due to having a free press? I miss those days.

People complaining that an interview with putin resulted in putin giving his view on things... is astonishing. What did they expect? That he would suddenly give someone else's opinion as in his answers.

The inability for news reporters in particular to accept that Putin might have his own opinions... is scary.

We learned a lot of history, because the Russians are proud of that history, , most of all how incompetent our leaders are, , sad, but true this guy is definitely in a league of his own.. if Biden was being interviewed, the subject would be about ice cream.. but yeah, he's 100% right about the USA sending out mixed signals in the past we utterly wanted to destroy and still do want to destroy Russia... face it only reason why we're there, there's also a bunch of other things that he talks about that I agree with. I'm just glad he finally got to talk about it. Sadly, a lot of Americans aren't gonna know or even gonna watch. He's definitely a master politician, very intelligent.

Journalism isn't about asking questions so that the answers fit the audience. It's about the audience hearing and learning about what the person being interviewed has to say. It's called information. These days the mainstream thinks they are the judge, jury, and executioner. The way they treat some people like high ranking officials is just downright deplorable. I watched Tucker and he LISTENED. Sure, he didn't press Putin that hard but he let the man talk. I can't stand the lies and agendas from.mainstream reporters. I don't care about your opinions.

Putin didn't look like a dying man with his finger on the button to me. I was shocked at how much more well spoken and intelligent he was than any US politician.

Having watched the entire interview 2 things that really hit home in my opinion are his determination to drive out the neo nazi faction that has been in place in the eastern Ukraine since 2014 and the Christian religious aspect of this war. How this interview ended was a very powerful statement by Putin that actually seemed to stun Tucker.
