Sysprep and Capture a Windows 8.1 Image for WDS Windows Deployment Services

This tutorial explains how to capture an image from a reference PC and upload it to a WDS server, to be re-deployed by more than one PC in your organisation. An example of this would be a new suite of computers requiring one master image - WDS can be used for this.

This video assumes you have already correctly set up your server with DNS, DHCP, and WDS roles installed and configured (be it virtual of physical). Correctly.

Great Tuto no problems to follow! Just a little problem with sysprep in win 10, i was oblige to uninstall cundy crash soda and twiter because of a error message by sysprep the rest work's fine. THK'S

Jake, when you prepare systems prior to sysprep do you activate the local administrator account and install applications and agents under that local administrator account? I do and seem to get game ending results as sysprep blows up the master computer. I wondering if it is because I should install every thing under the first boot account instead. Of course Surface Pro devices are an extremely difficult system to capture and deploy, so maybe it's something else.

Could you please install the AD DS, then DHCP and DNS to the virtual server and then install and configure the WDS on it, so we can fully understand how it is done from start to finish???

Hi, everything works fine for me expect the Capture part. After the Windows Logo it stops there with a black screen? What do you think is the issue? For Setup, it runs smoothly.
