Despite all his personal shortcomings, he is not qualified. His resume would have already been in the circular file if it were a real job interview.

Some GOP senators will raise concerns but in the end they will all do what Trump wants.

If the senators cannot do what’s right for the country and the constitution they shouldn’t be in these jobs. These people are unfit. If they refuse to participate in a background check they should be automatically disqualified.

Concerned that many of the picks would even be considered. Hegseth should drop out simply because he knows he is nowhere near qualified. Up or down votes of the cabinet picks should be made on merit for the position, not if the senators are being black mailed into voting for them by power on the right.
