This video explores how the unique structure of your hips and personal biomechanics can dramatically influence your skiing performance and technique. The insights shared here are based on information relayed to me by medical experts, combined with my experience applying these concepts to skiing.

We’ll cover:

The basic bony structures of the hip and how they relate to movement on the slopes.

How different hip shapes can affect your skiing and what this means for your technique.

Practical tips and movements to experiment with for better control and performance.

This video is to bring awareness to the diversity of body mechanics and provide actionable solutions to help you ski better.

This discrete breakdown is exactly what every advanced skier needs to see because it individually highlights the wide variety of techniques that often get bulk clumped together.

Nice and informative tutorial! Many people believe that the rotation comes from the knees (by pushing the knees in or out), when actually the knee can only flex or extend, and it's the femur that actually rotates through the hip joint.

Spot on! I have only had mogul ski training. It looks like we use adduction more because of the limited space to carve in a zipper line. Where you a ski racer? You have well developed carving skills. Bravo!

I see you looking great skating on these white roads.

How glad I am to have an alpine ski instructor here. Young people need someone to help them master this profession.
The slopes of Vienna and Bern await them to test their courage. Where are the brave ones who drive in the snow ? Who ?
All my wishes. ⛷️⛷️⛷️⛷️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️

Yo thanks for this! Been a minute since my hill has put any clinics on. Seeing as how this season is dedicated to rehab/feet on the ground due to ACL rehab, this looks like the perfect thing for to get that feeling of progress/practice back. Lol turning switch still feels better atm

Why almost all video ski lessons including this one play music on a background when instructor is talking. Is it supposed to help listening or understanding?
