"montessori is not about the stuff." Thank you for continuing to say this. I get so caught up in my daughter's environment when what I really need to work on is helping her know how to interact with it. It's so easy to compare my success as a parent to someone else's and it's never healthy. I just try to remember that most people only share the highlights and that we have plenty of our own to be proud of.

Thank you for making all these resources, tips, and strategies available to us! You've really helped me learn as a parent this past year. Here's hoping 2021 brings more good than 2020 did! Cheers!

Ashley, you are so right!! You can always start even if your kids are a bit older...just starting with my kids and they are 6, 3, and 18 mo. As you said, we focused more on changing our discipline and everything else followed!

Thank you so much for posting videos! You made my new mom journey much more peaceful. The world makes us think we need 999 things but truly we do not! Thank you thank you thank you!

Yes! It is such an important message to share that educating and parenting with Montessori philosophy is not about having expensive materials in the environment. It is about the child's work with the materials and the informed and observant adult connecting the children to the environment based on careful observation.

Just found your channel (and have watched all about the positive discipline and the start up), after a heart-breaking moment that I thought I was too late to start this with my little one (who is now less than a month to their 2nd birthday), I was so so grateful to hear your comments that effectively we are never too late to start. I have subscribed and am hoping that we can turn things around this year and create the happy family we've always wanted :)
I'm based in the UK and it is very noticeable that this method is not mainstream - but then, I've never been mainstream and this approach just somehow has got right into me and seems to connect with how I actually want to be with my little one (rather than where I currently am today). So a massive THANK YOU for helping me to start our family's Montessori journey.

Re the toy box, my daughter's less interested in toys on the shelf. She loves digging into boxes 😂 Just her style. But in the end, it's just a method. I go with the flow and mix it with other techniques like errorless learning. Xx

I have 4 chilren ranging from 8 months to 11 years. In the last three years I realized things were just not on the trajectory I thought was best and I started "clearing the board" We started getting rid of stuff, extra outside obligations, letting my children have more choice through pulling them out to homeschool, limiting how much summer time I organize, trying to be a responsive parent rather than trying to flood them with all the good experiences out there...etc omeone recently said I seemed very Montessori. So I was looking into that and am so happy to have found your channel because I think I really jive with these ideals and I think I could really get in alignment with how she approaches parenting challenges. This philosopht might give me a way to explain myself to our parents as we have diverged a bit from their expectations and ideals. Thanks for this introduction. I loved how you said it was never too late for the mutually respectful parenting I need more hope in that area with my 11 year old. I am excited to do more learning about this topic.

Most of this things I naturally did while being a mom first time. I didn't event know about Montessori.
I am so happy to finally have a name and study based methods for my parenting. I had quite a few arguments with my husband. He is amazing but grew up in a "good job praising country" I can not talk him out of doing that. Now I might have a better chance with the scientific proof as support.
Thank you so much for your videos. Well done!

Thank you for this! Mutual respect and formation of the human person are very important to me and it’s amazing that the Montessori Method centers around these concepts

I've been bingeing your videos in the last few days and feel so excited to get started. Even with my 8 week old baby, I feel a bit "late" to implement some of the newborn focusing activities and appropriate supportive environment but I'm just glad I found your channel when I did! I would still start it if my child was older because it's really never too late to begin developing and nurturing a respectful relationship with anyone. Thank you for your videos and I'm looking forward to starting my little one on a Munari mobile very soon 🙂

can't watch right now but the title made me think of a quote from Epicurus: No age is to too young or too old for the health of the soul.

Great video as always! Would you consider dong a series about how our children can help with everyday practical activities? For example, one video can be how they can help with cooking/food prep, another can be how they can help with cleaning, or how can they help with laundry? I think those videos would be so helpful! My son (17 months) helps with a few things but would love to get him more involved! Just not sure what exactly would be appropriate for him.
