I don’t understand how parents function without involving the littles in housework! They love to help and be involved, so really, everyone wins. 💕

This! My son is only one but has always wanted to be included when i did house tasks. He will push around our swiffer while i get dishes loaded into the dish washer. He watches me make bagels or bread.
When he starts getting fussy for a nap or just one on one time with toys/book, i stop what I'm doing and give him that time. The housework will get done, bonding with him is more important. It took a while to come to that realization.

Im not a parent, but I did a lot of babysitting growing up, took care of my nieces, and worked in daycare/preschool for a bit, and Ive always involved the kids with what I was doing. They would help set up/take down activities, help clean, prepare food, and we'd talk about how to do all kinds of things and why in great but easy-to-understand detail.
We would do a lot of talking about life, family/friends, school, morals, the future, science, and how to be kind to others and how to function as a human being. Theyre great learners and if you know how to keep them engaged, they enjoy learning and being a part of a team on any task.

I think it's also good for children to see what it takes to run a household so when they are on their own they don't al have to figure it out by themselves 😊

This piece of advice will definitely age well.

At that age, they wanna get involved with whatever you’re doing! It’s awesome because they can learn a good work ethic even at such a young age. ❤

My mom always thought i was in the way or didn't do it right.... So yeah.... Good job you guys.... Keep them involved, cuz it sucks to feel like a burden....

Honestly applies to adult partners and housemates, too. A good attitude to have all round!

My baby is a year and a half, he likes to try to get into the dishwasher when im doing dishes .... He throws the folded clothes around whem im trying to fold clothes, when i cook he likes to push me away from the stove. He doesnt like his high chair. So it gets pretty hard to get work done with him around.

Would love to see videos on how you accomplish this if you haven't made them already. 😊

Its been a long time since my kid was small. I was basically tue only one available to do everything with my child. I loved it but it was a bit difficult. Cleaning was good, picking up after play was good, but being ourside at the park was also good. Fresh air was also good. It got the wiggles out and everything. I couldnt get all of the cleaning done, but just some. It was impossible for me.
Ive been told that Im not a real parent until I have 2, and then theres my mom who said she was happy with just 2 because she said her mom had so many kids so they can take care care of mom.😢 both are sad, and Im going to do my thing with my family and ignore the vicious people.
I also struggled with postpartum anemia, gastrointestinal disease, and depression, so definitely wasnt easy and why I only had 1

Seems she studied this a long time, maybe her major? She has started when her son was only months old, and continued to involve his sister.
It's kind of a luxury to be able to do that with Everything, but you don't have to do it all. She is sharing what she knows in a kind of ideal situation, and each lesson is clear and explained. The more you learn, the more you can do❣️

I believe the “whole get things done while they nap” is an American thing. In almost every culture babies are always on tote while the mom is going about her day. It benefits the baby since they can nap no matter what is going on around them, they see day to day tasks and will most likely learn faster that way.

😮I had four children fairly close in age…things got done with the kiddos awake, no sitter, no help. Young parents, I’ve noticed, let their kids run the show.

Isn't that how the never put your kid down lifestyle works. You know the parenting style where your child is holstered to you at all times.

I mean i am confused by this. Who is waiting till the childrena re all sleeping to do housework? 😂

Easy to say when u have a baby who will just sit and watch you and not want you to hold them every second of the day
