Interesting. I read that Maria Montessori created the development system for poor black children and was thus extremelly cheap. Though due to peoples nature, someone turned this into an expensive profitable thing

Let them self correct where necessary and where the child isn't self correcting you step in.

Could it have its setback as the child corrects his/her own mistake probably later on s/he will tend to deny if someone corrects him on his / her faults?

As a Montessori teacher, development, not correction, is the purpose. Children don’t self correct, there simply isn’t a concept of correct. There is only moving forward. The process matters. The outcome isn’t celebrated.

I worked in a Montessori setting and it was done very badly
The child was only allow to play with one thing at a time and was not allowed to mix activities
The child was only allowed to play by themselves except in the garden
And in preschool they could only play with 1 other person

Idk I went to a Montessori and i remember the teachers would have to stay with me and correct me on certain letters and stuff. I remember I spent one whole day sniffing markers till I got really light headed and started swing things
