Always put the nut on the bolt then hammer it to the concrete that way you don't mess up the threads

This one is interesting because you chose to separate the house from the patio. Was it just preference that you didn't adjoin the roof of the house with the patio? I mean you wouldn't be worried weather or not rain or high wind and rain could plummet in between the two? It's still a great job but gutsy, lol.

Glad to see you used hex bolts instead of the little 3 1/2" screws and the 'finishing' washers that are fake nuts. The finish solution from simpson is like 3x as much compared to using 6" bolts that will be stronger anyway.

Great job. What is the square footage? And what's the estimate of all the materials for this project? I like to do something similar on my back porch with a screen.

Great job! What height did you cut the posts at? Doing mine this weekend similar to yours, free-standing with the high side of the roof just above the house to keep the area under the patio cover dry. I like how this design maintains easy access to service the gutters.

How did you anchor the rafters to the beams? Great work by the way.

How did you prevent this from wobbling? I find when I don’t bury the post in concrete or tie into the house these structures always move a bit…?

Are the black simpson T brackets the only thing holding the cross beams to the posts or is there other hardware?

Does the rain go through the gap where house roof is and patio?

Do you have a listing of parts, dimensions and plans?

Does your patio cover stop even with gutters edge of the house or go over the gutter to edge of house? I want free standing to get more height but I also don't want rain to get between house and patio cover. How far do you think you can over hang house without interfering with future roofing replacement?
