Wow fantastic video! I was just talking with someone about heating up my resin for an upcoming project. I’m for sure going to pick up the belts and love the idea of actually hearing the vat

I just wanted to thank you for posting this solution! It is working really well for me and you have saved me a great deal of time, money and frustration. There is not many days in my neck of the woods where you will hit ambient room temperatures even remotely close to what most resin needs. One more time, thanks!

It seems a little crazy that the belts are so simple and cheap and help so much, but no one is building them into their printers. It's especially odd for the Jupiter, which is $1300 and has such a gigantic resin tank that you'd think having something built in would be a no-brainer.

There is a trick for all who want to add resin mid print, stick a bottle in warm water for 5/10min and then add your warm resin

You helped me a lot, I performed the belt test first, but it didn't work as I expected on my Anycubic Photon.
So I ended up setting up a heated enclosure, but with a thermostat and heat lamp.
I will be testing in the next few days where in Brazil the temperature is fluctuating a lot or is constantly below 22...23C
Your videos helped me a lot !!

I bought one of these and heated up my resin tanks for months but one day out of nowhere my LCD screen stopped working. I did some research and I've found that the cause might be the intense heat of the fermentation belt. The machine was relatively new and I didn't use it frequently, so I'm pretty sure the damage was not caused by too intense usury. So be careful while using the belt, I'm not saying this is bad advice cause it really helped me and I had fewer failed prints after using the belt, but the LCD replacement is expensive and maybe you don't want that to happen too often lol
I'm now trying to heat up the tank with the belt separated from the printer so the heat won't affect the mechanics of the machine, but as it's been said, it might be a problem if the print takes a long time to come out and the resin has the time to cool down while printing, but for now this is working for me cause I print very small items that won't take more than an hour to come out.

My Mars 4 comes today, and I was worried because it’s springtime in Wisconsin. I’m going to be printing at 20 microns so I know it’s going to take a while. Don’t want my prints to fail because the temperature drops to chilly at night. Workspace is setup in a non air conditioned attic.

It would be great if printers had a convection type tech built into the metal vat, that way it heats when seated in the printer. Hey a guy can dream right? The only inconvenience with this set up is the hassle to remove the band before removing the vat. But this is a simple cheap solution that I look forward to trying out.

A family friend's house almost burnt down because of one of the belts so be careful. That being said, I personally use a seed tray heater inside a grow tent. Takes me from ambient (about 20°c) to about 32°c.

I'm stuck at a fairly constant ambient temperature of only 20°C in my work space. Hoping a belt and pad will assist me in obtaining consistent prints at lower exposure times. 🇨🇦

Most irritating music ever while trying to listen to something that isnt theme related with the music. Great info and idea, what i could get from it.

Question for a total noob.

Is the Vat/Resin Heating Procedure to 30ºC a one time process before you begin the print?
IE. Is the fermentation Belt removed and Resin left at its 30º temperature for the entire Print? or is belt refitted to the vat and resin reheated at any point during the print?

do you leave it running while you print? or only before you start it up you warm it

Does the belt need to stay on the vat while printing or is the temperature from the uv light and the exothermic reaction enough?

Pick up a decommissioned baby bottle warmer to pre-warm your resin bottles.

Hello! I have a stupid question to ask, but I would like an opinion before I do nonsense (or worst, something dangerous): I bought a fermentation belt like the one you show at 0:15 but it is too bulky for the inside of my Elegoo Mars 2. Can I safely remove the blue cover ? or is it better to change the belt model directly? Thanks in advance

Sounds great, how do you go about having inside your printer without leaving the door open, running on a photon

Super, thanks!
if you left the belt on the machine for a 8 hour build will temp keep rising or stabilize at 30°C?
