That's pretty cool!

Something I've been doing for a while is to have a separate container of IPA that I manually rinse off prints in quickly before putting them into my wash station. It gets the heaviest residue off and keeps my wash station IPA serviceable for a lot longer.

A set of Double Ds always puts a smile on any ones face haha

I have a two stage cleaning. The wash station gets the brand new stuff and the big juice container gets the used stuff. The old ipa is the first wash then the print goes into the wash station. When they need changing, the washer ipa goes into the wash jug. Then the really nasty stuff gets left on the deck till it’s gone.

I've been using a siphon pump intended for use with brewing mead. It has a stand off so it doesn't touch the bottom as well as a filter screen. No need to worry about potential issues from a spark or anything like that.

Another interesting item from a different industry, seperatory funnel. Pour in the the dirty Isopropyl, let the resin settle out, then open the valve for a moment to dump the sediment. Large ones get a little pricey, but a neat thing to think about

I just put my ipa into glass jars, toss it out on the deck for a week or so and it’s crystal clear with just the residue in the bottom.

I then use a peristaltic pump to pump it back into my wash and cure. Small, works really well, and contained.

I’d recommend it over a much larger pump.

Make it double effective by adding a small amount of alum to your alcohol, mix and wait until it's all settled out. It is known as a flocculant, and it will force all the suspended particles to precipitate from solution and settle at the bottom, leaving you clear IPA to pump off with ease!

I bought one right after watching this. It works SO well! Made it easy. Didn't stir up the sediment, or anyghing!

I love accessories for 3d printers that you make with the 3d printer

Before storing the clear container for a few weeks first put it in the cure station for a few minutes! This will bind a lot of the resin mixed in there, when it becomes cloudy at the bottom you know it worked and this will speed up the process and get you more clean IPA! Try it! it works great! I personally use PET bottles, but it should work just as well with the thicker PE buckets you have.

Thats a great idea in a pinch, I use a distiller outside. creates a solid resin puck when its done and you have crystal clear reusable cleaner when you are done

Careful using an electric (brushed) motor around flammable liquids. Much safer to siphon using gravity.

I use a 2 gallon beverage dispenser from Better Homes and Gardens, $12.94 at Wal-Mart. I just fill it with dirty IPA and let it sit in the window. The poor spout at the bottom is high enough up that only clean IPA comes out after a week or so. It works exceptionally well.

I don't have a 3d printer, but this definitely looks helpful for oil painting. Paint thinner is a pain, but I'll definitely get one of these for transferring it over to another reservoir for settling.

I’ve been using one of these for years to winterize our cabin, it’s the best tool for emptying the water out of the toilets after you shut everything off. Never thought of using if for this, so great.

This is EXACTLY the same pump that came with the formlabs formwash L. I use it to empty about 12 gallons (45L) of ISO in about 10 minutes. works great!

you could also just shine UV from the bottom in your seperated resin/IPA. then it also dont mix anymore, and you can take care of soled waste, which is propably way more comfortable. :)
