Thermal Vat Band Unboxing and In Depth Review. I unbox and set up this 3D resin printer vat heater for printing a small mini. At the time of this review the temp in my space was 44 Deg F or about 6 Deg C, very cold for any 3D resin process. I was testing how well the Vat Band could keep resin up to temp for printing in very cold temps. I found that it is very capable of keeping the resin to a consistent temperature.

Here is the site for the vat band. I am not associated with them in any way. I do believe that this is a very viable option for warming your resin vat during the cold seasons.

I've ordered a brew belt, same principle without exposed wires. I've also considered a 3 or 4 divided heat mat for plants, and fasten them to the inside of my grow tent.

Based on your review, I've purchased the Thermal VATBAND. I was getting ready to set everything up when I realized that the resit vat is made out of plastic and it's hollow. I'm seriously tempted to open it up and see if there is room on the inside to apply the heater.
Was your vat also hollow?

What length of VATband did you get for that size of vat? 34 inch one is like 3x more expensive compared to 20 inch, and they claim that you don't need to cover the whole vat with a band for it to heat resin properly, since your plate lowering for each layer essentially mixes the resin. I have a mono x2, and total perimeter of vat is around 80cm if my 5th grade math is right.

The problem with their temperature strip is it goes on the heat band.

thx for the video, since you are using it now for a while, what's your opinion on pouring out the rest resin and making the band dirty.

i typically have some resin that just drips down the side when getting out the rest of my resin and tbh that's my only concern i have about adding the band to my vat.

Do I have to be worried about this when pouring resin out of the vat? I have a phrozen mighty 8k, and when I pour out of the vat it just goes straight down the corner I'm pouring out of. If I pour any faster it will overflow the funnel, so I'm stuck doing it like that. Will getting resin on this break it?

For me better is heat reasin in butells to 40°celsjusz and is ready dosent metter if is 5° or 10°celsjusz alawys work next TIP WHEN YOU heat resin dont forget give time to heat bulid plate this avoid dont stick up to bulid plate.pure heat resin and put down bulid plate to home position for 1 min and is ready

They have a gen 2 available now, it has a magnetic quick disconnect on the vat side. Mine just arrived so I can't comment on it's function just yet.
