When the house started to crack, the members of the family madrigal temporarily lost their gift. like when luisa said "last night when u saw the cracks, i felt weak" meaning dolores mustve lost her ability that moment and couldnt hear the house crumbling.

I don’t even blame her. Imagine having super sensitive hearing that ruins your life, and then you get the chance for it to go away.

Dolores can hear EVERYthing. This means that she had more knowledge than anyone. Imagine the things she's heard. Knowledge is power, but it's also pain. If that's the case, then Dolores probably knew a lot of hurtful things that nobody else could hear. Maybe she stayed apathetic about everything so she could finally find peace. Dolores is the only one that has a gift that could be a curse on her life, so it's not so far fetched that she'd want it to go away

She could've just been paralyzed by fear. Inaction isn't exactly villainous. She didn't enable the situation, all Dolores did was not help.

All the grandkids have problems: Delores is only useful to the gma when she tells her what she wants to hear and is constantly overlooked and tossed aside. Also because she hears everything she know Bruno is in the walls and why so is probably afraid the gma will force her to leave the family too if she steps out of line

If she had said that she heard bruno in the walls at the beginning, abuela probably would have scolded her or told her otherwise, and they never talked about bruno back then anyways so no body would've listened to her. She probably went along with it just as isabela went along with being perfect, so that abuela wouldn't look to them the same way she did mirabel

Abuela is still the real villainess. Especially when you consider the theory that Abuela somehow had the ability to influence the gifts that were received based on what she thought was necessary for the family. The whole situation becomes increasingly bizarre if you put a dark twist on the story and view the Madrigals as villians.

Tbh the only reason Delores would reasonably get rid of the candle "gift" is because of all the burdens she has to hear about, and probable headaches. Being normal might seem like a real gift to her, and also because the last lime she opened up about hearing secrets they probably called her a freak. Or they used the new secrets they learned to take advantage of people, and people started fearing her like Bruno after they found out she gave that info out on accident. BUT HEY THAT'S JUST A THEORY!!

Everybody had their powers weakened when the house cracked. She told everybody that she could hear Bruno in the walls, but nobody paid attention. Honestly, I think she was one of the not-talked-about victims. The Grandma was the Villain of the story. She was so focused on perfection that she forgot how to love her family, which is what was breaking the miracle.
