I'll be returning to Angeles City in early October, Ace, after a long hiatus. I'd like to buy you lunch at Phillies Sports Grill & Bar or any restaurant of your choosing. I don't know if you ever meet your subscribers or not. This is a two week stay and I'm moving there permanently in February. This is reconnaissance and advanced party kind of stuff. Take care, ABC, and keep churning out those cool videos!

Hey Professor, here's some suggested topics for your videos. These will greatly increase your subscriber count.

- Transportation: A dedicated video for each form of transportation there in Angeles City. Start with a video of the vehicle showing all the details of it, how it operates, then maybe talk about the typical driver and interview him, prices for transport, tipping, how to pay, how to enter and exit, or mount (a scooter), and finally a 10 minute ride.

- Rentals: The different types of residences for each monthly NET income level of the expat ($1, 000, $1, 500, $2, 000, $2, 500, $3, 000, etc.) Show examples of each property for each income level.

- Military Veterans (and separately disabled Vets): As a fellow US military Veteran, what's really needed is information on how things work for both "plain ol' Veterans, " and separately, for guys like me (disabled combat Veteran, who the Veterans Benefits Administration ("VBA") has designated 100% P & T.)

For example, there's the low cost LIFETIME Philippine SRRV retirement visa for military Veterans.

Then there's the availability for outpatient care at the VA's only medical facility in the world on foreign soil, which happens to be located in US Embassy grounds in Manila. At the minimum the disabled Veteran can get all his prescriptions filled there, for free.

- Food: Show the typical daily fare for a single American male now living in the Philippines. Show and talk about how one eats depending on income level (as I designated above).

- Making the rounds: Provide tips and tricks on "bar hopping." E.g., remember the golden rule of drinking at the bars: "the twos at ten, start looking like tens at two." What this means guys is that at 2 or 3 AM, that's when you need to have your guard up. Don't settle for some crusty old hen who but for your five whiskies is still the two she was at ten.

- LEOs: An essential video IMO, explain how law enforcement is structured in the Philippines overall, and in Angeles City. Also talk about how private security functions.

Then tell us how to stay out of trouble while in the Philippines. For example, in many states in the U.S. pot is now legal. But people are unaware that in most of the world's nations pot in any amount is a serious crime, even one tiny seed that worked itself into a corner of your luggage.

- Justice: A video on how the Philippine justice system works would be interesting and valuable information. Then give tips and tricks if one is arrested.

- Arrested: A video on what must do if they are arrested or detained. E.g., You should have on your phone and in your wallet, and on a post-it note affixed to your passport page, all the contact information for the US Embassy Manila, and for the State Department in the US. Also advise that such information should be given to all friends and relatives in the U.S., so they know who to contact for info about you if you are in custody.

I would venture a guess that few Americans in the Philippines have the contact details for the US Embassy in Manila, nor have they passed on such information to loved ones in the U.S.

- Banking: A video about money. Where to keep it, protect it, where to bank, how to get it to you, best places in the Philippines to do currency exchange, and the various forms of payment available, and what's most common/popular.

All the points you made are valid, Ace. The pros of living in the Philippines versus America far outweigh the cons. As far safety is concerned, I feel much safer in the Philippines than here in Los Angeles, California.

I believe moving to the Philipines is a good idea. Especially if you do not have close relationships in the US or where ever you are from. I chose Panama. If you have social security or a military retirement you can move to Panama and apply for a residency visa. There are pros and cons where ever you move. But, Panama has been a smart move for me. Panama is generous to retired Xpats with pensions.

You're right, it can be dangerous in unlikely places, a few years back an elderly veteran was robbed and murdered in Airway Heights next to Spokane.

I can to relate with the reasons, my only concern is the safety hope it won’t be an issue in Cebu

People complain about the heat. So is every place I would think about moving to in America i.e., Florida or Texas. Manila is actually similar to Miami or Panama. I’m in Minnesota now. No matter how hot it gets you don’t drive your car into a ditch because it’s icy roads. You don’t slip on the ice and mess up your ankle so bad that it hurts 20 years later. They have air-conditioning in the Philippines, right? FYI, a car’s AC works much faster than it’s heat does.

He already did a video with 3 separate budgets on living.

The other topics are okay but must be AC related. Example...banks which bank in AC and what an expat needs to open an account.

For Ace❤- to make your channel grow get business cards with all your info, channel and logo and hand them out to EVERYONE you meet in AC

Second, find a tshirt and hat print shop in AC and find out about putting your logo on caps and t shirts. A black sleeveles t shirt with your logo would be cool❤

No need for inventory. If ordered you make it. There is a tie in for selling shirts on Youtube. I have seen other people doing it. Maybe look into that.

You' ve got a good niche going with informative current content for people like me who havent been to AC in a number of years. Plus your whiteboard technique is catchy. You can easily get to 100k subs❤🎉😊

Agree, the number one reason to move to the Philippines is how far your dollar will go. Going to the dentist sucks here, they just want all your money. Gas is about the same in the Philippines though housing, food and healthcare are a lot cheaper.
My sons are okay with me going to the Philippines, my parents are giving me a hard time just thinking about going there and I'm like why? They never cared about anything I did before (shakes head).
Don't really like the air pollution there though, that may be a reason why I do not move to the Philippines.
Am curious about the fishing there though. They have way too many restrictions on fishing here in Florida now, its just crazy. There are many boutique fisheries here in Florida and the US government is trying to control them all (shakes head).
Do believe it would be a lot easier to live in the Philippines then to stay here in Florida.
Thanks for your point of view, Ace...Jim

Do you run AC 24/7? If so, what is your average electricity bill?
