wrapping your drink up in a cold wet towel put in the freezer for 15mins, it really does work.

Don't forget the bottle! Took months before I stopped finding shards of glass embedded in the freezer walls.

I’ve been preaching treating fresh soft herbs like flowers for years. Two additional benefits: they’re pretty to look at, and you’re more likely to use them if you see them. Parsley, basil, cilantro, etc.

When making stroganoff with Portabella mushrooms, use the large caps sliced and cut into thirds. Adds body, texture and great flavor.

All great tips, but some herbs really stay better for much longer when kept in a glass of water IN the fridge, not on the kitchen counter.
Just ask my nearly 4-week old parsley.

Peeling ginger with a spoon is a the best tip I've heard in a long time!
I recently tried that for my stir fry, and it was not only simple, but I didn't lose a ton of ginger like I used to.

yes treat your herbs like a flower, but what I found out was actually putting them in the fridge in the 'vase' kind of water keeps them fresh for so much longer! They usually keep fresh at least 2 weeks up to a month for me that way...

One way to keep herbs for at least two weeks is to rinse the herbs then remove all the leaves starting to turn yellow then place your herbs like cilantro parsley in a glass with water and cover them with a plastic bag and into the fridge two or even three weeks later look the same

Favorite thing is growing green onions. After cutting what I need I put the root ends in a cup of water. They grow back so damn fast.

It's better to put regular oil in cast iron. Cooking spray will eventually build up and flake off.

I find putting a warm bottle in a bowl of salted ice water does the trick. You can throw it in the freezer as well if you have room. It’ll be cold in literal minutes.

sprinkling parsley with water then putting it in a sealed plastic bag and in the fridge works way better for me (same with spring onion). I'm talking up to 10 days
