One important one I feel got left out; efficient exploration of caves, mineshafts, and other structures. A good player has a system to keep themselves from getting lost, tackle the most important things first, and quickly get every valuable from the space. Sure, this gets a lot less relevant with automatic farms and more non-cave updates, but a good player still knows how to get it done.
