One of the things that encourages me about Catholicism is that the Roman Catholic Church is actually persecuted! 36 years in my Protestant church, and we never were. That actually bugged me because the Bible says that anyone who wants to live a righteous life in Christ Jesus WILL be persecuted. But we weren't. Like, ever.

Catholicism is the most charitable organization on Earth. Yes, there are horrible people, but it does not change the fact that Jesus Christ is the founder and that they have helped a lot of people for many centuries and they still do that today.
