As a teacher, I am on her side. She has exposed a serious problem of US public school.
While it might seem fun and you might "cheer" your children up when they successfully "trick" their teachers, this is a serious safety issue.
It's disturbing how many calls I've received from other teachers saying, "Can you mark so and so as present? It's all "cool". She/he is with me."
I've refused most of the time, and there's a certain group of teachers who just do not like me.
