"Capitol rioter Jenna Ryan continued to lash out at the media and others on Thursday evening, after she was sentenced to 60 days behind bars for her role in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Ryan, a Dallas-area realtor who traveled to DC on a private plane before the insurrection, infamously boasted on Twitter in March that she wouldn't face incarceration because she's white and blonde. In court on Thursday, federal prosecutors cited the tweet in arguing for a prison sentence."

The obscene thing here is that she's right to say that and have that expectation. We don't hold people with "white skin, blonde hair, and a good job" accountable. All it takes is a quick look at arrest and sentencing stats to see that. These people went to this protest knowing that they wouldn't be held accountable in any significant way.

Why is she only getting 60-days. This what the law requires in DC:
Willfully inciting or urging others to engage in a riot results in up to a six-month jail sentence. The penalty bumps up to a 10-year prison sentence if the riot results in serious bodily harm to a victim or more than $5, 000 in property damage.

"I'm rich, pretty and white. I can do whatever I want." "Gets a slap on the wrist for 60 days." OMG I can't believe this is happening to me.

She got off lightly. She should have gotten six YEARS in prison, instead of six months in jail!

So when are we going to release all people from jail for minor crimes far less weighty than insurrection?

So, she regrets TWEETING, she does not regret the way she broke the law.
I'm not perfect, I've engaged in unlawful activity (a DUI when I was twenty-two) and I regret my ACTIONS, the bad choice that I made.
She's the typical entitled, "I'm not sorry for what I did, I'm sorry I got caught, "

60 days is a joke. They all should be charged as accessories to the crime.

These people's sentencing should be more like A YEAR TO START!!

It would be so great to see her in jail saying that. "Im blonde, white, and i have a future, unlike you guys." To all the inmates walking to her in the courtyard.

"I'm not going to jail. I have blonde hair." You know we can see your roots, right?
Not a real blonde, not a real patriot, definitely a real criminal. And FWIW, that first detail has no relevance to the others in spite of her sense of entitlement.

Whenever those people claim to be surprised that they get arrested or jailed, I always think about the Baseball episode in South Park, where Randy gets arrested for fighting and yells "I thought this was America!"

Her saying, "Im not going to jail because I have white skin and blonde hair" proves that people like her are 100% aware that they have privilege!

Life or death. Yeah, 5 people died as a result. 60 days for accomplice to murder. That's a good deal.

Jenna Ryan: “I have a future.” Yes, a future as an ex-con.

My mouth literally dropped open when you read Karen’s tweet. My God.

My favorite part is DEFINITELY that she clearly knew and stated her white privilege. And then, think, she probably also denies there IS white privilege whenever it comes up. Glad she's going to jail. These people are the worst.

“It’s like...you know...free speech.”
“And you’re going to jail because it’s like...you know...the law.”
What a nincompoop. She’s about to experience the longest 60 days of her life.

The new Miranda speech: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say, screech or post on social media due to a pathological need for attention will remain in the Cloud forever and may be used against you in a court of law, and most certainly in the court of public opinion.
