For the nerds; it was made in Blender, which is free software for computer graphics modelling and rendering, as well as post-processing and more. It's looked down upon by the major studios who prefer the peace of mind of paying for support, but has many thousands of users at all levels all over the world.

It's also good watching for cats. It kept our cat engaged throughout.

That scene when the bird flew up to the skies which accepted its peaceful fate was truly beautiful

The director, when asked to explain a scene, said if he knew how to explain it, he wouldn't have felt the need to make the movie. I'd call it a masterpiece, which is a term I rarely use. I'm quite sensitive to animals in harm and also a cat owner, so I was truly engaged in the plot. I giggled and I wept. What more could one ask for?

It was hugely well-received in Madrid and with no dialogue to try to follow it's a truly universal movie that anyone can experience. It's a long time since I've heard spontaneous applause break out at the end of a cinema showing but applaud we did. Lovely movie.

For those wondering, it is PERFECTLY FINE to show this to kids. Any kid who loves animals will be thrilled and delighted, and the dreamlike atmosphere arguably makes it more kid-friendly because there's less complexity. there's some excellent messages here too about teamwork and how family and community should include those different from you. Highly recommended.

Tone poem is a perfect description. I absolutely loved this film. Even choked me up a couple times toward the end. I love things that are deceptively deep in their simplicity, as the best things often are.

It’s genuinely one of the greatest films - animated or otherwise - I’ve ever seen! It really is a superlative masterpiece in every way possible!

The secretary's transcendence scene is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a movie theater.

We watched the film in a full screening of mostly children, and you could have heard a pin drop for the entire run time. Proof that you don't need a cacophony of flashy edits, pop culture nods and irritating songs to keep kids enraptured. When it ended we could hear them all talking excitedly to their parents about their favourite parts and what they thought of it. What a beautiful experience!

Fantastic. Emotional. Magical. Dramatic. Beautiful. Thought about for days. Really got to me. One of my favorites of the year.

I can’t get this film out of my head after seeing it twice in 3 days. It’s a masterpiece. It’s simple, complex, poetic and beautiful. Everything you could ever want in a movie. It challenges us on the relationship we have with nature and ourselves. Just love it

I was a bit worried my 7 year old would be a bit scared about where the people were or even worst be bored as we were watching in the cinema!! But somewhat amazingly for a kid that gets bored with most of the content on Disney plus she loved it and cant wait to see it again.... My 14 year old son thought it looked like a cut scene from a computer game but still loved it :)

For me the best film of the year (so far) and one of the best animated movies ever. But you have to see it on the big screen. Image, sound, music - an amazing experience.

This is one of the most gorgeous, and profound seeming, films that I have seen.

It's a beautiful triumph.

I saw the film last year at Cambridge Film Festival and I am probably not alone when i say Flow is one of the best animated films of recent years, a very extraordinary piece of filmmaking with an open source.

Gints is a huge inspiration to me and his films have encouraged me to carry on making films with how much work he put into it especially his first feature film “Away” which he made all himself, it’s incredible.

Gints is quickly becoming one of my favourite filmmakers in the world of animation and left a huge impact on me and I am excited to see it again and excited to see what Gints works on next!
