The way people are raised makes a huge difference.

It really bothers how everyone quickly goes to race instead of just seeing them as the person you love. It’s really stupid and just plain ignorant

I love this woman. She is honest & doesn't shy away from saying whats on her mind & doesn't let people intimidate her.

Candace married a man that is intelligent. Great, happiness and long life for both of you.

I married a black man in 1985…still a fairly radical move in the 1980’s. He was handsome and extremely smart. Was one of the first black managers that worked for Cracker Barrel. He was also well educated to boot. Ended up joining the military and making it his career. He passed seven years after he retired. He retired making six figures at the age of 45. He was one of the most intelligent people I ever knew AND he believed in my potential. He received his masters in adult education at the same time he retired and worked for the Dept. Of Defense his last seven years here in earth. Together we were making 200, 000 a year. Our daughter is now on her way to being successful and will be a millionaire by the time she retires. There is truth to what Candace says here. Marry who you love, who you bond with, who makes you better for being in your life. Color never entered the mix with us. We were attracted to one another emotionally, physically and mentally. He made me a better person and mother…

You don’t marry color you marry love, laughter, loyalty, protection and happiness.

She probably was looked at by black men growing up and being unattractive and nerdy (similar to how back women look at non street guys) but was attractive to other types of men, but when she married a non black man, she labeled as a sellout. I’m in an interracial woman (who is Mexican) and we both don’t care about what people say about us. I’m riding with Candice and her husband

I love how she spoke. Truthfully and very clearly.

People like Charlemagne don't seem to understand that Christians believe we will all be united in heaven so why would they care about the race or nationality of their wife or husband. Heaven isn't divided by race or nationality.

So beautifully said and so many lessons and tips to take from this! I'm "a lady in waiting ." Working on myself while prayerfully waiting for God to bring me the right person. Thank you Candace.

I found a woman that matched my heart and that we can work together to accomplish the blessings that the Lord wants us to be engaged in

We are of different ethnicities and educations, but we love the same and bless the same

What they don't understand is that you get married to someone who edifies you, who carries the same moral principles and who will make you become a better version of yourself. Her husband is her perfect match, both are very intellectual and their soul is seeking the Truth and Someone greater than themselves. The way they interact is like a couple that has known esch other for a long time. I honestly wish them the best and we should pray for Candace so God will protect her.

"you married the white" imagine if some one said to a white guy "you married the black". Hypocrisy at its finest, but she answered with class as always.

I'm an Irish woman, married to a Ghanaian man, we have four beautiful children and we have now been together for 46 years. We fell in love with each other. We both were quite intelligent and we're still together today so beat that. 💚💚💚

I agree! I was usually told 'you're too pretty for ... ' but I wasn't interested in 'looks' as much as how we could engage in conversation etc

this woman is very intelligent. you can be sure she used good judgement, in deciding who she was going to marry

For me the ability to talk to and understand me is incredibly sexy. Most people make me feel that I can’t dumb myself down enough. I am not saying that I am super smart either. But I like someone who has an ability to understand my vocabulary.

This episode was SO rich and impactful. Many, many gems dropped!

It’s so refreshing to see Attachment Styles mentioned on a major platform. Maybe now people will see past love languages—albeit important—to see the real root of how and why others show up in relationships.

THIS attachment style teaching is what I’ve been basically evangelizing about for years.

Let’s focus more on learning what to realistically expect from people based on how their early life experiences have shaped them and less on how to connect with others romantically.

Understanding personality types and core experiences is the REAL foundation of any social engagement or just basic relation to others.

Candace, you and your husband make a beautiful couple. There's a saying out there, you could be looking at thousands of men, but only one will grab your attention. It's obvious you two are meant for each other. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
