The fact that Mormons used to teach and still teach that Native Americans were Israelites should be the number one reason to not bother with Mormonism. Like come on. We have DNA tests now, there’s no excuse for believing in a Jewish origin for Native Americans...

There are many younger folk in the LDS Church who think more or less along the same lines. Is there any evidence out there that the leadership is actually caving on some of these things? Because if there is, I think that would surely help to have copies of that evidence for evangelizing purposes.

"is there going to be pushback?" YES, I grew up in the church and have been active my entire life. Had many positions in the church that you get if you are solid in the church. Last year our stake president invited a couple to do a fireside where they promoted the LGBT agenda. I pushed back hard. Told my bishop I no longer sustain the Stake President. Then I found out that the church headquarters now has a "mormon and gay" website where they pander to the LGBT community. I stopped paying tithing and plan to leave the church as soon as my wife is ready to leave. It is very difficult to just up and leave a religion you grew up believing is God's one true church so I am giving her as much time as she needs to process it. But she agrees that God's church would not be pandering to Sodom, and clearly for financial reasons.

In Mormonism teaching of the Creation there are three men who create the world and create man. The church doesn't explicitly teach that God had physical sex with a goddess woman to create the spirits that inhabit the bodies of their earthly children. This opens the door to the idea that two men or two women could be sealed together and advance to godhood to create worlds and populate them using the priesthood power.
