UN 'Climate time bomb is ticking'

In a controversial move, the United Nations chief Antonio Guterres has called on polluting developed countries like the UK to fast forward net-zero targets by a decade to 2040, warning the "climate time bomb is ticking".

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has published their long-awaited report, calling for urgent action to secure a sustainable future for all.

The world has been ending ever since I can remember, and I'm 86-years-old. I can remember an old guy going around in a long raincoat wearing a sandwich board informing everyone that "the end of the world is nigh" Do away with the private jets, that will lead the way🙃

He knows is a useless target, costly and unlikely to meet the desired effect. They need to discuss new ideas that have real manageable targets.

Why have we been hearing, for 30-odd years,
1) prophecies of doom, which never come true.
2) "It's much worse than we thought!!!"
