Prepare for GC 2025 - A Call to Action

During the last four years, the General Conference (GC) of the Seventh-Day Adventist church encouraged members to participate in government protective and preventive mandates, based on an ‘official statement’ voted by the GC administrative committee (ADCOM) in 2015.

This Sabbath we will hear an update from Henk Viljoen and Jonathan Zirkle, who came on our podcast in 2022, just before Jonathan made his well-watched stand at the GC session. 

Henk will share an update on how churches and conferences around the world are using his very simple business meeting method for making a stand for the fundamentals of the church. Specifically, churches are addressing the 2015 official statement by ADCOM in regards to immunizations.

This statement claims ‘peer-reviewed scientific literature’ is a basis for the SDA health emphasis. Peer-reviewed scientific literature is not mentioned in the fundamental beliefs, and should it be mentioned, it would violate the introduction to the fundamentals which states “Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed…”

Glad for this platform, this is harming the pure principles of the biblical SDA world view and message. If my local church is not willing to a meeting regarding this issue how does an individual member have her voice heard and counted? The ADCOMM statement has to be removed before more mandates are issued. Please do keep this issue active.

GC hasn’t promoted the vaccine? Didn’t Adventist World feature a photo/article showing that the church headquarters were used as a place where the public could come to receive their shots? Is this not promoting in some way?
