Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. The best way to go forward is to study the blogs and tips given by previous year toppers about how to go about UPSC CSE for all three stages of UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and the Personality test also known as the UPSC Interview, and then make your UPSC preparation strategy accordingly.

Doing static subjects like polity, economy, environment, geography and history for your UPSC preparation is a solid bet to increase your chances of clearing this exam. But this must all be supplemented by current affairs for best effect.

Guys listen to me. I have made 6th to 10th ncert geography notes and some other ncerts too. Trust me they aren't useless. This guy might be a genius but there is so much fodder in ncerts especially geography because you wont remember every river, basin, mountain, concept, by one or two reading. And revising 80-100 pgs ki 5 ncerts would be useless. I made my notes of 6th to 10th geography in 22 pages. And they're gold for me. Guys please make notes of whatever you think is important and you might need to revise to memorize. Iska uska mat suno khud ke dimag ke hisaab se karo. Notes are never useless.

Mere bhaiya abhi IRS bne hai UPSC 2022 -- 628 Rank(Manoj Maharia), aur unhone even 6th class ki Ncert ke bhi notes bnaye, wo bolte hai ki books ko zindagibhar revise nhi kar sakte aur upsc prelims me direct questions puch leti hai kai baar 7th-8th se bhi aur iske alawa real foundation aapka chhothi classes ki books hi tyaar karke deti hai aur UPSC me jiska base majboot hota hai wo kanhi bhi nhi fasta😂😂

Suggestion: complete your ncerts, learn the basics and try to make crip notes 📝!

I read only one book from ncerts and I already thought It was useless so I had to go search about it around, and here you go explaining it's useless. Thanks! I'm a person who wants more and more details about a thing. I like studying in depth. And I only found the basic info from ncert.

NCERTs are must for upsc exams specially nda, cds, capf...and to some extent upsc(not very much, it will buid ur base), but for other exams of upsc, its must...

I think it's valid only for NCERTs of 6th-8th. Beyond class 10th all the NCERTs seem really important and they have tonne of information that really helps with covering GS static.
6-8th NCERTs is helpful as a base just like you said but after 9-12th is really important and should be revised continuously.
