8 Examples of Social Identities (Race, Gender, etc.)

There are eight main social identities. These include: age, ability, ethnicity, race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, and sexual orientation. By looking at these social identity constructs, we can examine how some identities are more privileged than others within our societies.
