How to properly scale my business was harder than growing the business from 0. The hardest skill to properly replace yourself from the small things in your business is accepting that there are other people who can do things as good as you are doing, if not better. It's easy to fall into the trap of "I know better and I care more than anyone about this biz".

*Honestly ... the best advice out there. There are millions of people out there making themselves irreplaceable in their business. It's very important that a business has a face (that's true) but it's also very important that you don't work until you're 105 years old because you can't retire because your business is YOU.*

*Notice how this channel is called "Valuetainment" and not "Patrick" or "Tom The BizDoc". If Patrick was to leave that would hurt the business for sure but the business won't die. If Patrick's channel would just named "Patrick" and Patrick would leave, then the business goes down as well.*

This was an amazing video! I own a fitness biz and my arrogance and naivety kept me from hiring other coaches for 7 years. 6 1/2 years too late...lol. I now have 3 coaches an admin and do very little in the trenches. No I can be a CEO. As Pat mentioned Steve Jobs and how important he was to Apple, I was curious as to how well Apple did after he died in 2011. Apple had the largest income jump in history from 2011 to 2012 ($25.9 to $41.7 billion) Unbelievable! As crucial as he was to the company, he was "replaceable" with a profit. If your business cannot function without you present (at least for a short period of time) your business owns you! Thaks Pat!!!
