Wow, LG is definitely the authority on OLED technology and Geek Street is the authority on Youtube tech reviews! That A11 chip really sets this TV apart from the competition. Looks like a nice upgrade from the G3. If you want the best of the best, then the G4 is for you.

How was the G4 set up to get 3k peak brightness? Would love to know when I try to explain to others how good the G4 is. I saw one at Best Buy recently and the first thing I noticed was the color pop (qd oled quality) and the clarity. Woled is not dead yet.

I can't decide between the A95L and the G4. They both take top spot in various multi-TV review videos. My current TV is an LG LED (side-lit) but my first TV, which I loved, was a Sony. Whichever one I get I'll wait until Prime Day or Black Friday to get the best price.

I think up scaling is important for a TV because most of the broadcast we get is still in 1080p. Sony might be a bit better than the LG G4 in this regard with Samsung S95d behind both of them. The G4 is now bright enough for a bright sun lit room which was the reason I took back a couple of LG Oleds in the past . The processor in the Sony brings more definition and resolution in the upscaled picture from 1080p but its slightly darker over all.
If your placing the Sony in a dark room that's not of a concern. The Samsung is no doubt bright/brighter for some uses but its upscaling is not as good as LG's or Sony's 😳😳😳

Uncheck the allow ycc 4:2:2 option on series x video an option for tvs that dont have a bandwidth of just makes the picture look worse in your case

I'll have to research this, but I'm curious why they decided to make the TV so thick. My 65 OLED C2 is that "two credit cards thick" kind of display.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's a good move for longevity and moving it around, but ruins some of the aesthetics as it was nice and thin with amazing color.
