I camp a lot off grid and I think one essential item is to get yourself a portable power pack with solar panels. Even a 600 watt system can be gotten for around $400. I find it great for heating water and recharging small electronics. I have things like a propane stove but unless you stockpiled canisters they eventually run out.

I've been telling family and friends since 2008 to prepare themselves accordingly. Prepare for the worst but pray for the best. Stock up on dry goods, bottled water and lots of ammo.

Used to be being a 'prepper' would get you made fun of.

Though not long before that. For generations almost everyone knew to be prepared for the unexpected. Natural disastor or worse. Growing up (not even that old, mid 30's) everyone had enough canned food on hand for at min a month. We as americans got way to comfortable.

Gold is expensive and okay for long term security but few will give you change back for 1 Oz in a barter situation. Silver is a better investment.

If the people who lived through the great depression had been given a heads up don't you think they would have faired a lot better? We see it coming. We have seen it coming and even top economists are saying it will be far worse than the great depression. Just population alone and the way people act when they get scared is reason enough to not have to leave your home. Go watch some videos on Venezuela. See what it is like for parents to have to put their children to bed hungry or worse, unsafe because someone wants what you have. We prepare so worrying is not an issue.

If you have emergency cash convert it to ingots of gold and silver. If you can have a still ready for production . If EMP is a huge concern Rokon Motorcycle isn't a bad idea . They are slow but can climb and go through anything and are EMP proof .

I love Glenn. The goal in Maslow's hierarchy is to attain the level or stage of self-actualization. Although widely used and researched, Maslow's hierarchy of needs lacks conclusive supporting evidence and the validity of the theory remains contested in academia.
