Top tips how to start prepping:
1. Get a notebook and look for good tips and tricks. write everything down in that book. Always. After some days/weeks you can look what will be good for your situations. And start planning before you buy stuff.
2. Get your body/mind into shape. This is always good to do. Better now than later. Take small steps so you won't get overwhelmed or drop the good habits. Learn new stuff 1x a week in small amounds.
3. Try to get a steady source of income. And always be on the lookout for a better job or other way of income.
4. Get your home in order. Keep it clean and organised. Don't buy stuff that create a mess. Or stuff you don't need.
5. Get the basics before you do other stuff. Also check for stuff you can get for free or make yourself.

"If you watch only one video on prepping, you want it to be this one"...where I talk in circles, tell you nothing, and try to sell you my "prepping guide" for 20 minutes. Great. Thanks.

I got the impression while watching this video that it was almost geared towards a new prepper who has never seen one of your videos before, or perhaps never seen ANY preparedness video of any kind. Not sure if it was intentional, but I appreciate this approach for this video. Because of the thorough introduction of the who, what and why, I can easily share this with several friends and family who have expressed interest in getting started in preparedness. Thanks for all you do, as always!

I've done it for 10 years and now teaching my grandkids. Also stocking food, water n meds. Don't forget the meds! Love your videos. Thanks!

To keep from getting overwhelmed...
Get 3 day worth of food. Then get 3 more days worth until you have 3weeks then start over.

I spent my whole weekend buying rice, beans, nuts, asprin, multivitamins, vacuum sealing them all. As well as semi long term assorted canned meats. Im safe for a few months. I plan on fasting every other day to space out rations if need be.

As a survivalist since the 1980s, I have learned that you don't prepare for a disaster. You prepare for your response to a disaster. There are only 2 responses: stay put or leave. You need to be prepared to do both 24/7/365. It is that simple.

"If there was ever a time to get ready, it's now." I can't agree more as a person who just started getting into prepping a couple weeks ago.

My dad always says "if you're ready for EMP, you're ready for just about anything". He's definitely right.

Number 1: work on your mental health.
Without a strong mind, no matter how prepped you think you are it'll go out the window if you can't handle or manage stress (your own or others around you)

I recommend when storing grain or anything else in a bucket, to remember to mark all the sides and top of the bucket to make it easier, especially if buckets of food had to be transferred quickly to a different location.
I also recommend cutting out the directions from the bag the food was stored in, and put it in a Ziploc baggie or laminate the directions, and then secure it to the bucket. This way anyone who has the food will know how to cook it, just in case you pass away, or you're located in a different area.

I think for new preppers they need to know they need to worry about getting all they can and organizing later. My home is a disaster right now with preps everywhere and alot of things needed to be put in mylar bags, dehydrated or canned. Right now I could feel totally overwhelmed or realize not everything is going to expire just because it's in your house. That bag of rice can wait a week before it goes in mylar bags and those apples can still wait a day or two before I have to dehydrate them. I felt like everything had to be done yesterday when i first started til I calmed myself down and just did what actually has to be done first and just follow that logic. Just get it in your house and then calm down and do what you can without making yourself crazy. Just get it!
Thanks for the video. I'm sure there's alot of new preppers out there right now, seeing for the first time what's going on. Waking up can be scary..

Great video my husband use to make fun of me when I would buy 3 packages family size of paper towels toilet paper when I would shop (precovid ) once covid hit he was so happy that we had all these items and were not out there in the streets with everyone else trying to find tissue and paper towels. We were so stocked that we didn’t need to buy anything for almost all of 2020. He now is the stocker of paper towels and toilet paper lol 😂

There is a facet of prepping I never see anything about. A very important thing to think about and plan for so you have a better understanding what to do when disaster hits home. That is - you, and everyone else, WILL be disabled when disaster hits. You WILL be injured and not functioning anywhere near 100%. You may be physically injured, you may be in shock, maybe just profound sadness, maybe just confusion and being overwhelmed, but you will not be anywhere near fully capable. That is something which should not be ignored. There will not be any "time outs" to recover or regain composure. Written plans can help. Cross training could also help. Having equipment manuals ready to go can help. You know how to do everything, but what if you are broken and can't do anything? Does anyone else know what to do? Everybody will be disabled to some extent. When the time comes, this will be a huge factor in your survival.

As a single mom, it took me years to get even 3 months food and money put away. Then I lost my job unexpectedly and had to use what I'd prepped. I know that's what it's there for but it's SO frustrating that it happened now. I feel like I don't have time to replenish before it gets really bad.

Kris I signed up for your newsletter four time. I’ve never gotten one! Thank you so much for this video it is so relevant for those who are starting out today, in their preparation journey. I agree with you, when I first started it was just not what you like to eat not nutritional . Along the way I have begin to pick up equipment and becoming more precise and filling in the holes in my long and short term pantry. When disaster hit with my pressure cooker croaked, and my dehydrator plastic tray’s fell apart. I replaced the dehydrator and replaced the pressure cooker soon. I am a lot more prepared and I thoroughly enjoyed your preppers roadmap! What a great accumulation of practical plan. Stay safe out there!

Brother, I did just start over. We lived in Costa Rica for 2.5 yrs. We paid off all of our bills, sold everything we owned(including 30 yrs of gear, food, firearms, ammo, medical and survival gear. Well, the wife wanted to move back on April 1st 2022. We moved out in the rural Kentucky woods with acreage. I just spent 13k on getting a handle on basic preps, medical, weapons, ammo, tools, seeds and survival gear. What a pain.
