When people ask about Michelin stars I explain it’s more about the overall experience. There ARE Michelin star places which emphasize taste over everything. But it’s mainly for aspects aside from the food though the food IS still a factor

When you said it's more fancier and doesn't necessarily mean the best tasting, I couldn't agree more. Saw Mike Chen ate noodles at a michelin star restaurant in japan and he still preferred the noodles rated as the top by the people. The michelin one was clean and you'll see fancy ingredients too.
