Thank you so much! This is the most helpful math video that I've ever seen!

Easy to understand. Many people do not seem to know th equation for a line, fractions, or the concept of m being an unknown. If those are your issues you are not ready to take algebra. You need more basic math skills.

Tysm lately I haven’t been paying attention in class and we are 2 lessons ahead of when I should’ve learned this tysm
Note:(we’re finding the slope in a graph)

The rise (y) over the run (x) (here 2 = the rise, 3 = the run) means in this case that if x = 3, y = 2 (and then add b (= 1). So if x = 0, we only have the y-intercept (which is b = 1) and then y = 1.

What is it's just y= 6x +1
Do you just go 6 right on the x axis? Or just go up another 6 on the y axis?

Wow, didn't know it was that easy. Really good video.

Now the hard part is looking at a graph and figuring out by multiple choice what the linear equation is....

Math for Elementary Educators 2 (out of 3) is killing me with this.

I used an old piece of plywood to draw a x-y coordinate system and pulled a long concrete drill from my toolbox as a flexible line. Then I changed the lineair equation in y = b + ax with b being the "beginning" of the line on the y-axle and a is the "action". My students got it in one lesson and asked if I will take the plywood with me the next lesson because they liked it also...

Never found your explanations anything other than confusing. Not everyone can grasp this stuff.
