500 for this little ramp is crazy. If you skate, you should probably learn how to build your own equipment as well.

he basically said "it's not worth $500" in the nicest way possible 😭

its skate-able .... but not worth 500. You can build it yourself for way less and adjust it to your own preference.

this is the Mcgretton park in Weatherford. It is falling apart really quick, but at least we're getting a real cement park soon.

No, I used to build ramps from age 12 with my father till about 30 something, we’d drive around the town and look for wood behind shopping centers and load up the truck with whatever we found. Wooden pallets works great for flat bottoms. What we couldn’t find we’d buy from home depot and build our own ramps for close to nothing to a maybe a few hundred bucks for a mini ramp. 1990 prices 2x4’s were a buck, sheet of ply wood was 10-15 dollars. We turned my back yard, driveway and friends backyards and driveways into private skateparks. Miss those days. It’s just as fun building ramps as it was skating them, every skateboarder should experience this, even it’s just a simple launch ramp. It’s not rocket science but you do need to know a few things like power tool safety and knowing how to make a proper transition. It’s always a great idea to ask construction sites for scraps and ask if you can fish out some wood from their scrap dumpster (or wait until they leave) We were broke ass skateboarders.

Funny how you find Keen Ramps randomly at skateparks, have always wanted to try them out, and then say exactly the same thing when you make a short 😂

Keen Ramps are way too expensive. Tjey should honestly just sell paper templates and have people build the ramp themselves. $500 for this, $200 for a simple kicker...whete do they think skaters are getting that kinda money?!

ive seen that curb (or coping i guess) used for actual parking spaces and my trucks destroy them, not worth 500 at all for some plastic coping that wont last a month

Looks pretty complete to me. The composite curb on the top is pretty nice, but the rest is probably relatively easy to work up yourself.

I would definitely pay up to $250 for it, but definitely not $500.

buying ramps in general is so much more money than building your own but it takes alot of knowledge and work to build your own so thats what you are buying

Cool ramp, but I'd rather spend $500 in gas to go skate a variety of spots.

having built a bunch of boxes and ramps in the past, it's probably worth it as the design, materials and build looks like it'll last for years, and will save you a ton of time and labour

Building ramps is how I got into construction.

all keen ramps products have always seemed grossly overpriced to me

Cory Keen actually did some videos with Dan Corrigan on how to build some of their different stuff, like a kicker and a quarter pipe. And they make ‘em out of stuff they dug out of Home Depot dumpsters

I could build that ramp for 100 bucks…we’re getting ripped off people.
