Would you pay $500 for a Shimano Metanium DC?

I like the older metanium dc the new one looks too much like the curado , I have a scorpion dc and a curado dc and they have held up good. curado has caught me the most fish

I would rather get the scorpion dc. It in my opinion is the best looking one and has the same braking sytem as the anteres dc for less than a curado dc

I like shimano, but the answer is no . The reels usually cost the least of my set ups . I buy the best hooks I can get . I buy good fishing line . I buy nice fishing poles . The reel is the least important of my set up . I will pay more for my fishing rod than I will my reel .

Nothing Shimano is worth that much. I wouldn't pay that much for Daiwa and that's my preferred brand. And I hate to say this but I really don't, the DC system is essentially training wheels. I do not like the idea of a machine controlling how far I can cast. No spool tension, no brakes (unless it's windy), thumb only. Feathering is key.
