Have you actually tried to lie flat with this sling after shoulder surgery. Absolutely impossible. I suggest you try it yourself overnight with a healthy shoulder and reconsider your recommendations.

I have 11 pillows in my bed. I built a recliner out of pillows. 😊 I'm a month out of surgery now, I'm still not sleeping very well, I seem to fall asleep just as the birds are waking up. Ice, pillows and painkillers will be your best friends.

Obviously, the presenter has not been thru this experience! These suggestions will not be "dramatic" in improving the experience.

I just had a reverse shoulder replacement and would like to ask if there is someway to put a pillow under the arm and back for sleeping without someone else to put it there

I've had both of my rotator cuffs repaired. I'm going on 5 weeks post surgery. Just like the other arm, there is NO WAY I could lay flat after surgery.

I can’t sleep using the sling. My whole arm goes numb after one hour. I’ve laid flat. I’ve tried the pillow. I don’t know what to do

He should use a REAL post-recovery patient… someone who’s in pain.
Get several different size pillows.
I leaned back on a stack of bed pillows and adjusted medium and small pillows to get the Balance of not dragging down my shoulder and keeping my bent arm lifted just enough.

Wish I watched this one before hand, about 5 weeks out now. Second round different arm.

You can't do a lot of these pillow placements after a shoulder replacement if your surgeon does not want you moving that upper arm. Please show how to do this after replacement surgery.

Is wearing a sling able to help keep the forearm in a relaxed position ? I have an RSI injury to my right forearm. from use of a computer mouse and /or driving . I'm only asking as I want to know the best way to leave my forearm in a relaxed state when deliberately not using my right hand for anything. I want to recover from this asap.
