I live in Scotland and sling for my dogs every day. They get so excited when they see the sling come out.

Great video.
I just built my second Balearic sling (out of jute), and I'm trying to improve my accuracy. Thanks for this and your tutorial video.

I can get the empty sling to snap like a whip, but with ammo in it, it doesn't, and I bounce as many off the ground as I send down range. There were a couple of tips in here that helped me switch those results around. I still don't have the speed with the ammo as I do without. I'm sure it's a technique thing I'm doing wrong. I'll keep working.

Thanks again.

Very informative plus a good sense of humor ! 🤩 How anybody cannot fall in love with slinging after watching your video ❤ I'll forward it to Linko Rovaniemi from Finland 🇫🇮 ... and the city doesn't allow us here slinging cocktail molotov anymore but I go often with giant ice cubes which is fun too ! 😂

This wasn't the type of tips video I was expecting - it was so much more! I've been slinging for a long time and I am always looking for input and tips to get better. I expected a technique-video and got a video that, above all, conveyed joy. A few basics, but above all the joy of this hobby. Very humorous and lovingly done! Thank you very much, these were a great few minutes for me!

The art of the thrown stone! great fun, scary dangerous with heavy scsary how fast you an turn those stones into bullets.... scary scary, but fun fun. Great to take kids and friends out to throw rocks. Newbies always are surprised how fun and natural it feels.

YES, moving targets seem more often better to aim at, as is all so fluid, flying birds were more likely to get hit that the badger hole across the river on the opposite bank, moving targets just seem to .... attract the slung stone.

another good vid, I've always thought slings were under-rated. Mainly leaving a comment for the algorithm :)

Haha tip#8! the reason I am looking at slings is exactly to throw balls for my dogs.

I like to imagine a threat like a wolf or bear incentive increases accuracy for sure, but need to feel the weight swinging, even the figure eight is freakin deadly and quick, but with a long sliing, feels like you can take down a wall with that shot.

What was the length of the sling you were using

I have a sling, a dog and saliva. Thus the sling (balearic type) gets muddy soon with wet earth. How would you recomend to clean it? Having into account that its made of vegetal fibers... Thanks!

Could you please decribe in detail what exactly you do with the shooting hand in the moment of release?
The basics are clear. What I mean is: how (and when) do you aim with that hand? some say you have to point your Index finger on the target like when throwing a stone. Others say you have to make the same motion as when cracking a snakewhip. I've also read "lock the target between your index finger and thumb"

I have tried slinging tennis balls for the dogs. One brings it back so I can throw it for him again, the other keeps it so she can chew on it.
