Oda Finally Reveals Dragon's Devil Fruit (1099)

Oda dropped another amazing chapter with a lot of small details. We witnessed Kuma's anger, his full power, and the revelation of Dragon's Devil Fruit (Wind Logia?) Later, we saw Kuma and Vegapunk's meeting for the first time, and, of course, Saturn again, as the main villain in Kuma's backstory. The real mystery remains: What will happen in Chapter 1100?

I believe that Monkey D. Dragon's devil fruit is a Mythical Zoan-type devil fruit named: Fish-Fish Fruit, Model Shenlong and here's why:

Definition of the Shenlong: Shenlong, is a spiritual dragon from Chinese mythology who is the master of storms and also a bringer of rain. He is of equal significance to other creatures such as Tianlong, the celestial dragon. The spiritual dragons are azure-scaled and govern the wind, clouds and rain, on which all agricultural life depends.

1) A lot of people believe Dragon's devil fruit to be related to weather. Conveniently, the Shenlong's ability fits this perfectly.

2) This wouldn't be the first devil fruit that is inspired from the Chinese mythology in One Piece. Kaido's devil fruit, the Fish-Fish Fruit, Model Azure Dragon is also a dragon that comes from the Chinese mythology. Orochi's devil fruit is also from the Chinese mythology, the Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Yamata-no-Orochi.

3) Monkey D. Dragon literally has the word DRAGON in it.

4) The Shenlong dragon is entirely green and has a bit of red here and there which is exactly how Monkey D. Dragon looks like with his green cape that covers most of his body and his red scar on his face.

5) [Contains Minor Spoiler] The Tianlong Dragon is referred to as the "Celestial Dragon". Which might be a direct reference to the Celestial Dragons and maybe has a connection to the history of the devil fruits and this mistery devil fruit that was hidden for many years (Chapter 1037).

6) And finally, Oda might want to show his appreciation to Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball, given that it's his favorite series and he took a lot of inspiration for it. (like Luffy's character being inspirés from Goku's character). And in the Dragon Ball manga, the Shenlong Dragon plays a major role.

After reading this chapter. I know for a fact kuma knows all about the strawhats powers abs send them exactly where each needed help to strengthen their powers.. it all makes since now. Oda is ready is a genius. Kuma knows where Mihawk was and sent Zoro there, he knows ussop trickery sniper skills and sent ussop there, he knows all the location where dragoon troupe are and sent robin there. He knows the best place for Luffy to train and the government won’t step foot there and send Luffy there .. think about it it’s just crazy

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:

1. I might be wrong but wouldn't the facts about how Kuma became a King & his nickname be similar to how Buggy & Momonosuke went from figureheads to real leaders?

2. As much as I would like the very next chapter to have Dragon come to Egghead or at least more clues about it, I do wonder if that would really support his goal to topple the World Government. After all, the reason he didn't save some of his officers until now was because it would endanger everything he & his army were trying to accomplish. So how do we know that this scenario won't be an exception?

3. If Kuma had visited the places he sent the SH to, then that means he did go to Amazon Lily by some means and probably met Hancock at that time! If so, then perhaps we may be 1 step closer into learning what really inspired Kuma to send Dragon's son there!

It would make sense if Dragon was the White Dragon of the East, because his son, who is the *Sun God* is from the *East* Blue, and where does the sun come from? It rises in the *East* . It makes sense, imo

I don't wish to undermine the Paw fruit, but next to Azure is Bad Comparison. Sure its more agile and gives many option, but thats why is in the top spot for tear2 paramecia.( most of the Revo got tears 2 paramecia)Tear one paramecia is Rumple fruit. Float fruit( Shikki) and Gravity fruit. DC is a factor, and Paw fruit is not focused there.
Similarly Azure fruit is tear1 any way you see it like Budda fruit and Nika fruit. Tear2 mythical Marco and Yamato.

People assume dragon has dragon devil fruit. But oda already gave us kaido as a dragon. Oda is not going to give us another dragon .. so Luffy’s father aka dragon will have a wind/hurricane type of fruit that allows him to manipulate wind, rain, thunder combined. Adding all 3 haki to that. So yes dragon is powerful .
