Keto is whole foods. 1 ingredient foods.

I lean mostly carnivore! Carnivore is simple. Once in a while I get s taste for s salad. Just lettuce, cucumbers and a little hard cheese. About once or twice a week and I'm satisfied! Rest of week nothing but meat. Took a while but now I'm pain free. I don't go in on fads, pkg breads or desserts. This is the only way I make it. No high blood pressure. I feel great!! I don't yearn for other things! I love listening to you! Thanks!!

I was waiting for my husband in a store. There were regular and keto chocolate covered almonds.
The real ones had almonds, cocoa, cocoa butter, sugar, real vanilla and salt.
The keto version had almonds, cocoa, three types of seed oils, several versions of sugar, including mutidextrose, fake vanilla, and a list of other ingredients I could not pronounce. Multidextose raises blood sugar faster than sugar.
It also had almost doubled the sugar.
I did not buy either of course, but it was quite interesting.
I know a few people who tried keto and failed. Cupboard full of keto products.

Hi Ken, I have been on a ketogenic diet for over 12 years now. I am 68, and my doc tells me I have the bloods of a healthy 20 year old. I have averted a hip replacement after 5 years and have the xrays before and after to prove it. All inflammation re arthritis gone after 2 years. Im healthy and living life to the full. I feel like I'm in my late twenties. I am so grateful for my whole food healthy diet. Food is medicine. That's my philosophy.

When I started Keto 7 1/2 years ago, there were no products on the shelves of grocery stores that claimed to be Keto. It wasn’t until about 4 years ago that they came about. By this time I had already educated myself quite extensively on how it all worked, so those products were a joke to me then and a joke to me now. As of today, I have transitioned to 95% carnivore, occasionally eating a vegetable or berry.

Talking to an older truck driver who could really benefit from a change of diet. I told him "keto" and he said it doesn't work. So I told him that all the packages that say "keto" on them are BS.

All the protien items in the supermarkets are disgusting. I see so many people with dozens of supposedly healthy protein items come to the till. I can't even help it anymore I keep saying "that's full of sugar if you want protein why not just eat bacon" I sure this diet will loose me my job and I'm getting to the point of not caring if I do, wonder it the butchers up the road has any jobs going.

I went from Tim Ferriss's slow carb, to keto, to carnivore over the years. The best definition of keto is keeping total carbs as close to zero as possible, less than 30g a day at a minimum. I was successful at losing weight very quickly on all those diets, I felt good on them too. In my opinion, those other diets were just hinting at our ancestrally aligned natural diet. We probably should still rarely eat some vegetables, but we should eat them like paleolithic man did, 98% red meat, 2% whatever else they could find. Some people seem to think "hunter-gatherer" is equal parts hunter and equal parts gather, it definitely was not.

Yup, I did the KETO snacks for a year not losing any weight so finally went carnivore, now I’m in ketosis the majority of the day and in down to the weight I was 20 years ago when I did the Ironman triathlon without doing the training at 58 years young.

There are such things as Keto junk foods. I’m finding as a whole that if I make things using clean ingredients that don’t raise blood sugar or very little using simple ingredients is best for me.

yeah I don't do carbs or net carbs anymore. I do food groups and it makes more sense. don't have to count calories or carbs if you're eating from specific food groups. meat, animal fat, non starchy veg, berries

No such things as Keto bread, or cookies! When you see what they actually contain, you realise you must eat just a crumb to stay below 20 carbs a day…

YouTube has been my biggest tool throughout keto. I started off eating the "keto friendly" products & had no idea why my results would vary. The math of it all was too much to keep up with day to day. When I got on yt to learn how to make my own everything I got the results & it became easier. I then discover this channel & butter & steak gal. I love the transparency of it all & hope more people get access to these precious gems. Thanks doc! ❤

Each body is unique, but I'm finding keto-ketovore is working for me. Six weeks ago it took me half an hour to wake up at 7am. Now I'm waking up at 5or 530 am and it only takes a few minutes to reach full steam. Even if I don't lose another pound, I'm sticking with it simply for the feels😊
