I like how the insurance companies took the premiums all year and waited until hurricane season to cancel everyone’s policy .

Something really needs to be done about this situation and FAST. Don’t know if this is true or not but I’ve heard that it’s not likely that our lawmakers will do anything to help homeowners caught in this predicament because they are nicely funded by the insurance giants. If that is true that’s a real low down dirty shame. The corruption and greed !!!!

I didn't realize we were living inside the movie Robocop.
Imagine that, insurance companies worried about insuring things because it won't make them enough money.

In other
Your ability to sue will be limited.
Remove that 3rd party designation to sue that is being abused by these roofing companies.
Just like designated auto collision shops that are used by auto insurance companies allow that to happen with roofing & homeowner insurance companies.

Nothing in the new passed roof laws will help homeowners, only the insurance companies. They now do not have to sell you home insurance if you have a 15 years old roof, and therefore, also look for them to drop people unless they replace the 15 year old roof, way before its useful life, shamelessly adding huge amounts to landfills. Now, no longer does the insurance company have to replace a roof if 25% is damaged, now they can just give money to repair if damage is 50% or less. NONE of this is good for a homeowner. Also, some people say and think there should be a pro rating on roofs, but this is more or a lender demand that most homes they give mortgages for, have complete replacement costs in the insurance provisions, not prorated but what about the repairs now we will see on many roofs, patched up with up to 505 of the roof???? I'm very disappointed in DeSantis on this new law, it is terrible for the people, great for insurance companies.

That governor that everyone speaks so highly of down there is working to help insurance companies and real estate conglomerates drive the working class out of Florida. The super wealthy want Florida for they’re own little playground. Construction workers who will build they’re estates can live in neighboring states.

Don't expect someone else to help you like an idiot. Get a steel roof and forget it.

The reporter was not heard until later. Next time apologize for the technical difficulties or otherwise the reporter gets fired and yes it happened to a reporter in Abilene once.
