filed for chronic fatigue syndrome when it became presumptive and was denied. HLR found 2 DTA to assist, was in my str since 1992, did not know what was wrong with me, been seeking MH for years and they could not diagnosis, retired 1993 due to medical issues, combat veteran with bronze star and 20 years of service, sent to another c&p and waiting on results, now rated at 70% for physical injuries and just had a heart attack due to depression and anxiety from this, the v a is sitting on this because they have not been trained on this particular syndrome, prayers for my family and other vets going thru this.

I was service connected per 38 CFR 3.317 and rated 30% for IBS a few days ago. I had claimed gastroenteritis but had all the classic symptoms of IBS. I didn’t have a diagnosis but my VA examiner connected the dots and submitted a favorable medical opinion. I’m a retired SAILOR😆 and a Gulf War veteran. I also was service connected for allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and asthma using the 38 CFR 3.320 presumption.

I had 3 cancers since I left service. The VA service connected liver cancer but denied skin cancer and breast cancer in the same decision.

I was recently denied...but "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" is now on my official problem list as per physiatrist...

How can you have symptoms of an undiagnosed illness? That almost sounds like putting efficiency in the same sentence with

I have vertigo and chronic fatigue in the que for claims. Thus far vertigo was denied even thought I have hearing loss and tinnitus and I did HLR. Will see how that goes. I suspect they will also deny my chronic fatigue just going by history of Va. and yes all is on my Va medical file and nexus and DBQ.

Just went to the VA for the first time. 26 years, started as an 0351 in 1990. Fingers crossed 🤞

I wanted to clarify I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and immune disorder but I’m a part of 911 party that was deployed to Iraq twice Ramadi (2005-2006) and Baghdad (2008-2009) Is this covered as a presumption illness? Or is it based on time frame?

on one of my denials we can not grant you undiagnosed illness because you dont have a diagnosis of a undiagnosed illness! LOL

Can you clarify if Navy veterans who were deployed in support of Operation Iraqi freedom are also included? I know that we were considered to be "in theater of combat" and remember being in the Arabian sea, but can not find any documents to verify that I served in the Arabian Sea. The way I understand, Veterans who served "in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom" qualify for these preservatives under the Pact ACT. Am I wrong?
