“Proteins are complex molecules made of amino acids” **proceeds to show a picture of dna which is not made of amino acids**

Also, immediately after, shows a clip of glucose being broken down in the mitochondria with the byproducts of CO2 and H2O (aka cellular respiration), another process that is not related to proteins but whatevs. Buzzfeed’s credibility is seriously low.

Everything in moderation..?

You wouldn’t say that about tobacco, so you shouldn’t say it about meat.

why wasn’t plant protein even mentioned.

They forgot the most important and over-looked fact: THERE IS PROTEIN IN EVERY FOOD. Unless you are deficient in calories, protein deficiency is incredibly unlikely.

Wow! Love this video! Thank you buzzfeed! For anyone reading the comments that’s interested in this you can watch two Netflix documentaries, ‘forks over knives’ and ‘food choices’

No mention of plant protein?? If you're gonna say eat less animal protein at least give an alternative rather than "everything in moderation". Pointless video

Let’s face it, most people will not consider going vegan or vegetarian but Dramatically decreasing the amount or meat you eat and increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables helps you lose weight and be healthier in general. I’ve found what works best for me is having a small portion of the thing I want the most but loading up on vegetables for most of my meal. Also if you are someone who drinks protein shakes, consider switching to a plant based like hemp or pea protein. It’s not as harsh on your stomach.

I am new to this channel. Recently I watched "Outsmarded". I really like it and I have one question. Will there ever be a season 2 for this type of videos? If someone knew the answer please answer me.
P.S. My english knowledge is not perfect.

I'd rather go to a nutritionist that knows me and how my body reacts to food and exercise than listen to a random person off the internet 👍

I’m saddened that plant protein info wasn’t included

This video is a ridiculous compilation of out-dated research on “high” protein consumption. High protein intake is not linked to kidney damage, kidney stones, and all of the other bogus claims made here. Only high red meat diets are linked to an increase in cancer risk, not all protein sources... white meat is perfectly fine. This video is very irresponsible of BuzzFeed to post as most of the video seems to discourage people from consuming an adequate amount of protein. Only a certain population with extremely rare metabolic disorders should exercise caution with a high protein diet.

That recommend daily protein is for people who do not strength train, people who strength train should have more. Recommended then would that athletes "respond best to consuming 2.3-3.1 g/kg of lean body mass per day of protein" - Helms et al 2014 (Evidence-based recommendations for natural bodybuilding contest preparation: nutrition and supplementation). The paper was for body building individuals but can also be applied to athletes in which muscle is important (powerlifting etc).
